Welcome
I am Postdoctoral Scholar at the MIT Senseable City Lab where I am contributing to the Lab's portfolio related to design of safer and smarter transport systems. Prior to that, I served as a Lead Research Scientist at Urban Design 4 Health, Inc. working at the nexus of urban infrastructure and planning, physical activity, climate change, and health.
Methodological data driven applied transportation research is my hobby!

Prior to that, I served as a Lead Research Scientist at Urban Design 4 Health, Inc. working at the nexus of urban infrastructure and planning, physical activity, climate change, and health.
Methodological data driven applied transportation research is my hobby!
The summary of my qualifications is:
- Trained in transportation engineering, with interests and expertise in transport & health , intelligent transportation systems (ITS), connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), sensor & telematics data, proactive transportation safety, objectively measured travel behavior & built-environment, and sustainable transport including fuel-use, alternative-fuel vehicles infrastructure, and energy.
- Advanced expertise and demonstrated experience in big data science, machine and deep learning, simulation-assisted frequentist and Bayesian estimation, and user-defined programming based advanced statistical and econometric methods.
- Publications in areas of advanced modeling schemes, emerging methodological challenges in data analysis, ITS, CAVs, proactive transportation safety, travel behavior, incident management, and sustainable transport spanning over policy and engineering realms.
- A lead research assistant on 9 projects during PhD degree (funded by US NSF, US DOT, US DOE, ORNL, TDOT, and national/regional US DOT University Transportation Centers).
- An author/co-author of 18 articles in SCI-indexed leading transportation journals since 2016, 25+ conference papers and invited talks (majorly TRB papers), and 6 technical reports, since 2016.
- Experience of drafting 13 grant proposals during my PhD program (submitted/funded by NSF, US-DOT, TDOT, Regional and National university transportation centers.
- A reviewer of 10 journals and 3 conferences (reviewing papers for 5 TRB committees)
- A secondary instructor (preparing lectures, delivering lectures on advanced methods) in 3 PhD level and graduate engineering courses in Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Safety, and Geometric Design of Highways and Freeways.
